Seee Meee

These are different files for a work called self portrait #7. as i dealt with my failure at control I started thinking about installation. This image was made for this blog, but in the gallery, I am starting to see salon stacked images from the same series in white frames and mats so the get a little lost in the wall. You should read the title to the song from Tommy. I was explaining to my annoyed son just this morning that my reference to song lyrics has annoyed my friends for a long time.

GPS

I started out this mourning trying to come up with a system to organize my files so I can keep up with what I am doing. I am creating so many different versions of images that I am having trouble controlling the flow of how I make things on the computer. Before an hour was up I had started working on two images that were finished and were heading to the printed file. I finally gave up controlling anything while working on Parasite because it fits that work. One layer which was meant to be controlled by another layer would begin to take over. Do I stop and save the image as it is or let it be lost what is happening. I have decided that this tension is just what the images on the computer is all about so I have to live with it. I will try to find a creative GPS but I am afraid that Doris Day takes the control.

Quitting Time

One of the problems with my computer art is that I never know when its finished and even then it could morph into something completely different. You will notice the jockey image which was laying dormant when I found it and used it for my logo. With its rebirth it floated around in the computer either and is now finished.

An Idea GROWS

These works show the progression or should I say the organic expansion of an idea. I have tried to tell you about the order of the process to make these work and it is impossible separate out the steps.
